Ohio Art League Comic Art Exhibition and Local Pop Up Shop Reception

From February 7th to 23rd Kenn Eppstein will be curating an exhibit about the process of creating comic books from script to print. For that period of time the Ohio Art League gallery will also serve as a pop up shop featuring comics by local creators!

Please join Ken at the opening reception for this event on Thursday, February 7 between 5:00pm and 8:00pm and watch for invites to the other comic related presentations and events that will be held during the exhibition to help show visitors the past, present and future of comics in Columbus!

Saturday Feburary 9 at 4:00 PM to 5:30PM:
Please join Caitlin McGurk, Engagement Coordinatorfor Ohio State University's Billy Ireland Cartoon Library as she presents the history of Columbus as it pertains to Comic Book creators and cartoonists.

Art Explorer Post 407 Work in MLK Art Contest & Exhibition

The Art Explorer Post 407 exhibitors for many years at SPACE will be well represented in the 6th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Art Exhibit.  The exhibit whose theme is "Celebrating the Legacy, Rediscovering the Spirit" will have a short reception on Monday January 21 at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium 300 W. Broad St. from 4 PM to 7:15 PM.  The exhibition will then be moved to Columbus City Hall. Image above is "Color Blind" by Rachel Altvater from the 2012 exhibit.
