SPACE Exhibitor Bios- The Finale!



Daniel Luster:
Daniel is a starry-eyed artist who was born to compose numerous types of art such as abstract paintings, eclectic drawings and prismatic jewelry. In addition to art, Daniel loves to write fabulous stories and descriptive essays.

Ethan Mollette:
Ethan is a young artist whose artistic capacity ranges from finely detailed sketches to complex clay works. Ethan’s ornate trees and snowman design is featured as a holiday card. Some of Ethan’s favorite pastimes are hanging out with his friends and sketching tattoo designs.



Lee Smith:



Lee Smith is the hardest working artist you've never heard of. Lee is the creator of Ohio Chronicles  (the only mini-comic about Ohio history), the Cosine Cadets (Saving the Galaxy one MATH problem at a time!) and Sammy Spiffy Super Robot and Calculator Chicken!  His website, www.OhioComics.com presents FIVE (5!) new pages a week on his blog. Come talk to him.

Jaromir Stoll:
Jaromir is a bi comics creator, educator, and researcher - with a creative focus on stories of the ineffable in life and a research focus on indie comics and community in India. His recent work includes the latest volume of Sadie Hawkins & the Girl in Question, autobio comics about moving to Ohio called "Dear Denver" and short works in Blocked: Stories from the World of Online Dating.

Tim Switalski:
Tim likes to draw. In the 1st grade he decided be an artist. He's still working on that goal. You can check out his progress on Instagram @timswit!

Gregory M. Thompson:
Gregory M. Thompson is a Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror writer with publishing credits in Macabre Realms, Digizine, Aphelion Webzine, Concisely, Digital Dragon Magazine, Dark Gothic Resurrected, Midwest Literary Review, Roar and Thunder, The Fringe Magazine and more. He also has an award-nominated science fiction piece in the collection, Steampunk Anthology, published by Sonar4 Publications and has a horror/western story called "Cora" in the anthology, Welcome to Hell: an Anthology of Western Weirdness, edited by Eric S. Brown. Nightcry and The Golden Door are two of his novels, released in March and June 2011 respectively.


Vagabond Comic Collective:


Vagabond comics is a periodic and independently published comics anthology based in Cleveland Ohio. Much like a campfire serves as a gathering place for the wild tales of ragtag travelers, we aim to provide a unified, storytelling platform for a diverse collection of voices.

Jack Wallace:
Disposable Fiction Comics is a small press publisher consisting of one writer and one colorist and letterer. We collaborate with thoughtful, creative artists rich in talent. We create short fiction to read on the subway or the bus on the way to work. Though you may throw our comics away at the end of your trip, our stories will stick in the back of your mind.
Disposable Fiction Comics is trying to add something new to your world. Our bread and butter are bite size one shot stories done in an anthology style with a new artist for each story. We’ve also assembled a few one shot issues. Our stories vary genre and reflect a diverse cast of characters. We bring magic, truth, paranormal accounts, theological debate, modern crimes, and stories from lives that will never be.

Travis Williams:
Co creator of TandRFusion Chill artist guy Youtuber and creator of EpiCarrie.

Seth Wolfshorndl:





Born and raised in northwest Montana, Seth Wolfshorndl currently resides in Missouri with his wonderful wife and daughter.  He supports his comic book habit by teaching art to unsuspecting high schoolers and by freelance illustrating for such clients as Glacier National Park.  He writes and draws comics that include Duel, Random Ink, and Rook City (also featuring writing by his Three Trees Studios partner, Elton Gahr).  For ten years, he has been sponsoring an afterschool Cartoonist Club for his high-schoolers, who produce two volumes of comics every school year.  This is the first time that Seth has tabled at S.P.A.C.E. since 2006, and he is excited to be back!  You can see more of his work at www.threetreesstudios.com.




 Bruce Worden:


Built by cyborg parents before the Disaster, Bruce Worden is still assimilating his experiences into a meaningful matrix that may one day save us all.

Ben Wright-Heuman:
Ben Wright-Heuman hails from Richmond, VA. A lifelong writer and doodler, he studied film and screenwriting at Kenyon College before realizing that comics were his true passion and calling.
After graduating from the Center for Cartoon Studies in 2016, he moved to Columbus, OH, where he works as a freelance cartoonist and illustrator. His comics span the genres of mystery, science fiction, horror, humor, and nonfiction.

Matt Wydick:
Matt Wydick is a freelance artist and independent comic maker. He likes goofy humor, video games, and long walks on the beach.

SPACE Exhibitor Bios Part 8


John R. Phythyon, Jr.:
John R. Phythyon, Jr. wishes he were a superhero or a magician, but since he has not yet been bitten by a radioactive spider or received his letter from Hogwarts, he writes adventure stories instead. He is the author of the Wolf Dasher series of fantasy-thriller mashup novels, the epic fantasy series The Usurpers Saga, and several modern fairy tales. Prior to becoming a novelist, he was an award-winning game designer.
He lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, their children, a dog, and a cat. It is rarely quiet, but it's often entertaining. His current projects include world peace, desperately wishing for the Cincinnati Bengals to win a Super Bowl, and acquiring more cool socks.

Stu Rase:


Stu Rase teaches children, writes comic books, and loves goblins.

Sarah Allen Reed:
Sarah Allen Reed is a prolific cartoonist, author, zinester and musician hailing out of Saint Charles, Missouri. In the comix world, she is known as the author of Tabula Rosetta, Funhouse, and nearly the entire Blackwork catalog; in the music world, she takes the roles of bassist, drum programmer, and vocalist of extreme music act Cassandra Complex, vocalist and bassist of gothic rock act De Ira, and many other roles in other musical projects. She is the founder of The Blackwork Organization and the small record label Reclusive Recordings, as well as being the driving force behind many other projects. When she's not busy in the studio, she enjoys longboarding, working out, studying theology and the occult, and spending time with her found family and their cat, Barnabas.

Vince Revene & Eli Thompson:



Vince Revene writes and co-illustrates the fantastically independent comic Strange Letters to Albert.  When Vince is not busy pointing out discarded bandaids to his patient wife, he can be found trying find a way to sit so that his dog isn’t breathing directly in his face. Vince resides in Richmond, Virginia.
Eli Thompson co-illustrates the unbelievably independent comic Strange Letters to Albert.  Eli loves the Chicago Cubs, R. Crumb and horror movies from the 1980’s. Eli resides in Chesterfield​​, Virginia.
 

Allison Richmond-Leeth:


Allison Richmond-Leeth (Alla) is a recent graduate from CCAD and is ready to show off what she can do. As a comic artist and illustrator, she has a passion for wonderful storytelling, comics, and anything cute, girly, and magical. This year she has been working hard on the first chapter of a new comic she will premiere at SPACE. This is her first convention experience outside of her school, and wants to show the world all her hard work.


Carlos Rivera:

A wanna be artist, writer ,promoter and lover of many. I enjoy the fun of being around creative people. This has led me to create my own independent comic book show, the Youngstown Independent Creator Expo. Come check us out.

Jessica Robinson:
Jessica Robinson is a comics creator and freelance illustrator from Columbus, OH. She writes and illustrates the weekly webcomic "Roxy."
"Roxy," deals with social awkwardness, isolation and Millennial angst.  She is a twenty-something nervous wreck trying to lead a normal life in not-so-normal times.

Amanda Scharf:

Graphic Designer by day; a crazy Freelancer by night who calls Ohio her home.

Anna Lisa Schneider:



Anna Lisa is a decent human being that lives in Chicago.
She’s a graphic designer by trade, but occasionally teaches classes, participates in art shows and draws a webcomic, 
Inward Bound. She is very busy and that’s a good thing.
When Anna Lisa is not drawing or sleeping, she’s looking at pictures of dogs she’ll never be able to pet.

John M. Waller Sewell:
John M. Waller Sewell is the writer and publisher of Beautiful, Silly, & Terrible Things, an anthology series devoted to telling stories in multiple genres. Since its inception in 2014, though, the flagship title has become a true publishing house and now publishes series such as: The Black Gate; Johnny Bats, Vampire Dick; and Trope. John has also been published by Incubator Press in their Never Look Back series.

Lisa Sterle:
Lisa Sterle is a Columbus artist with projects spanning from comic books to t-shirt design to pop-culture-fueled illustration. Her work is often bright, feminine, and occasionally tinged with horror— marrying her two favorite themes: the beautiful and the grotesque. She is currently working on a monthly serial comic called Long Lost, due out in fall 2017.

Ted Sikora:
Ted Sikora is the creator, co-writer, colorist and letterer of the series Apama - The Undiscovered Animal. Apama tells the story of Cleveland’s own resident superhero in which a Hungarian ice cream truck driver discovers the spirit force of the most savage creature mankind has never known.

Lauren McCallister:


Lauren is a degenerate human being who enjoys making comics and hanging out with her cats. Her works include Teen Girl Killed and Bad Sex.

Ben Miller & Julio Guerra:


Ben Miller is a writer who has created a miniseries called Judges.  Julio Guerra is a arist/writer who has created the series Deathbag and Super Dead Beat Dad.  Ben and Julio together created the one shot wrestling comic Botched and the webcomic Nerdlife.   

Robert Monsarrat:
Robert Monsarrat of "Monsarrat's Monsters" is a writer and illustrator in love with, well, monsters. Since the age of six he has been chronicling the exploits of a Dinosaur Demigod, Rarraku. Rarraku hasn't fired him yet, so he must be doing a good job!

Joseph Morris:
Joseph Morris is the owner/operator of TORC Press, a Small Press Comic Book Publisher based out of central Illinois. He is a 17 year veteran of the small press. His major project is "7 Worlds", a wild, multiversal epic exploring the boundaries of genre comics. In addition, he occasionally works on a comic strip called Quixote Coyote. He's recently started work on "The COSMINOMICON", a book which may prove to be his life's work (maybe, who knows?).  Other than that, he's recently formed an alliance with some other small press publishers called the Interstate Comix Group.

Kasandra Murray:
Known for her childlike determination to evade her vegetables and doodle, Kasandra Murray’s (http://www.kasandramurray.com/) lifestyle often takes a seriously silly route. With a positive attitude and the natural overabundance of mishaps that come her way, she falls in the rare category of a rebellious illustrator who enjoys working in InDesign and laying out huge pages of type. Working with local bands and interning at Promowest Productions, Kasandra pushed to expand her skills as a designer and illustrator, amassing a repertoire of imagery opening into fine art. Even with the sudden sharp turns that life takes Kasandra knows it’s only what you make it, and that’s why she chooses to use as many strokes, line widths and textures as she embraces the unexpected.

Steven Myers:


Steven Myers is by trade an Art Teacher in northern Ohio. He applies his artistic side by making polymer clay statues, painting, and drawing in both pastel and ink. His normal subjects are comics and pop culture subjects. He also writes and draws his own mini-comic, the F.E.D.s, and the webcomics "Mutant Elf" and "Mutant Animals vs. Zombies Vs. Machines vs. Humans". Plus he regularly contributes to several anthologies.

Laz Neptune:
Laz Neptune is the creator of the surreal, darkly humorous "Krazy Noodle Massacre," a long-form comic about one man's all-consuming obsession with a generic macaroni product. Her art style looks like Richard Corben's comic work from "Heavy Metal" had a love child with 90s Nicktoons.

Shon Norris:
Hey everyone. My name is Shon Norris. I write worlds. Beginner at drawing, Lord of writing. Been writing comics since 2011. Feel free to contact me at my email or Instagram.
Mackenzie O'Connell:
Mackenzie O'Connell is a comic artist who focuses on having strange and silly characters put in situations that force them to grow. She often has no idea what's going on.

Maryanne Rose Papke:



Maryanne Rose Papke has been self-publishing short comics since 2010. Her comics are usually weird, often silly, typically cute, sometimes sad, and occasionally epic. She has more than 8 minicomics in print, and also produces the fantasy webcomic, Xylobone Tomes.

Stephanie Phillips:

Kat Klockow:
Kat is the pink-haired spunky brains behind the popular online webtoon fantasy series Jinxed and two urban horror fantasy graphic novel stories: Spiritus Maximus, and Miss Grey. She is the artist for the graphic novel Zombio, a story written by her husband, Mike, when he was nine years old and adapted into a graphic novel over 20 years later.
Besides comics, Kat and her animation friend Rachel Maguire host a weekly podcast called Panel Power, focusing on insider tips and tricks and humors stories for those improving their craft of comics.

Clare Kolat:
Clare Kolat is a Pop-Surrealist artist and designer from Cleveland, OH. The female form and the natural realm are common elements in her work as she juxtaposes her figures with flora and fauna in sensual, magical dreamscapes.
She is also an independent comic creator. Clare's comics have been featured in such publications as Cleveland Scene Magazine, Vagabond Comics, and The Ohio City Tremont Observer. Her short comic "New Here" was nominated for the 2015 S.P.A.C.E. Prize.

Theora Kvitka:
Theora Kvitka is a comics artist living in Pittsburgh, PA. Theora has drawn comics about bad dates, falling asleep in public, mosquitos and drinking scotch (but not all at once). She's self-published many comic books and has shown her work in D.C., Chicago, Pittsburgh and London.

Kyle Latino:
Kyle Latino has been drawing comics since 2009. His first self-published work was GIDEON’S TRIP, which embraced the then new digital format of the iPhone and iPod Touch with a unique scrolling format. His comics work has been published in Image’s anthology OUTLAW TERRITORY Vol. 3, Monkeybrain’s digital Comixology exclusive PRIME 8’s, and FRESH ROMANCE from Rosy Press.

Brian E. Lau:
Brian E. Lau has worked as a cover artist for Hall of Heroes. The independent comic book company that artists Ethan Van Sciver and Trent Kaniuga also started from. Brian has also worked as a graphic artist, in the automotive industry, co-writing music, & dabbled in animation. He is now launching his 1st independent graphic novel “Staunch Ambition”. What happens when human innovation enters the supernatural? A supernatural sci-fi graphic novel by Brian E. Lau, John McNichol, Tyler Thull, Neal Anderson, & Erwin J. Arroza. Douglas Laubacher:


Douglas Laubacher is a cartoonist and art educator from Northeast Ohio. His comic strip, “Unbound,” can be read in the Tuscarawas County Bargain Hunter and the Wooster Weekly News. He is a member of the National Cartoonist Society and makes his studio home at Mr. McGillicutty’s in Dover Ohio. Doug holds a BA in fine art from the University of Mount Union. He can often be found traversing the land, teaching the mysterious craft of cartooning at various art centers and libraries throughout the region

Michael Laughead:

Jobs: Teacher and Illustrator
Hobbies: Argentina national soccer/fútbol team, reading, movie watching and cleaning up after my 3 daughters.
I came to Columbus to attend the MFA program at CCAD and now I teach and advise students in the Illustration and Comics and Narrative Practice programs at CCAD. Also, I do freelance work, making comics and creating illustrations in the children's market. I received my BFA from Brigham Young University - Idaho. In Idaho, I met my amazing wife, Candace. (She's still the best thing I got out of school). We have 3 beautiful daughters.
Before going to college, I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for two years in the north-western part of Argentina. While there I learned Spanish and not to be afraid to ask total strangers to change their lives.

Patrick Lay:



A lover of sad songs, hairless cats, and ice cream, Patrick has been making comics for kids since 2013.  He recently finished an MFA in Comics program from the California College of the Arts and has a BFA in Oil Painting form Valparaiso University.
Patrick loves teaching about comics and how to make them.

Dale Lazarov:
Dale Lazarov is the writer, art director and licensor of Sticky Graphic Novels -- wordless, gay character-based, sex-positive graphic novels for an international audience that are considered
“a joyous expression of male/male sexuality that, while erotic, is neither grubby nor tasteless” (The Novel Approach).  Since 2006, he has collaborated on 12 hardcover and 39 digital Sticky Graphic Novels with distinctive and evocative comics artists from around the globe.  In his secret identity, he is Aldo Alvarez, Ph.D. and he lives in Chicago.



Nola Lee:



Nola Lee is a full time freelance artist, illustrator and snack enthusiast. Located in Northern Kentucky on the Ohio river, Nola draws, paints, and animates from her quirky and quaint small town studio. When she isn't creating she can be found reading classic Sailor Moon mangas, watching Great British Bake Off, or out on a historic neighborhood stroll meeting the local cats. Works by Nola can be found on all social handles at @nolaleeart or on Etsy at @NolaLeeSTORE.


Craig Lindsley:


Craig Lindsley has had a love of comics since early in his childhood. In 1991, Craig earned his Associate Degree in Commercial Art. After gaining some experience in that field, Craig returned to school and attained a Bachelor Degree in Art with a minor in Education. He formally taught art to Middle Schoolers at Horizon Science Academy. Craig is a member of the Parma Area Fine Arts Council, where he teaches “How to Draw Superheroes.” He donates artwork to a near-by comic book shop that raffles the items to raise funds for a local foodbank.  Craig and his wife serve regularly at their church, where, he also donates pieces for their yearly “Back to School Fest.” When Craig isn’t creating he is enjoying time with his wife, children and 3 cats

Pära Low:
Pära is an autobiographical author with a focus in horror and mythology who seeks to make the foreign or frightening accessible to her audience.

Theodore Mallison:
Theodore Mallison is a cartoonist, animator, and game designer from Akron Ohio. He publishes comics and roleplaying games under the name Cooperative Adventures Limited.


Frank James Bailey:





Frank James Bailey is an accomplished voice actor with over 25 years of experience. You can hear his voice on countless radio & TV commercials, book trailers and explainer videos.
His voice can also be heard on the Channel Frederator YouTube channel. He voices Disney Dark Secretes along with 107 Facts about Pinky & The Brain and Then vs Now: My Little Pony.
As a published author he self-published and wrote 3 family-friendly illustrated novels about a female superhero named Tercona. 
Tercona is a superhero with the power to create anything, except air, water and living things. Her constructions, however, are only temporary. The bigger the object the faster it disappears. The smaller the object the longer it takes to disappear. Blue electric bolts project from her thumb and first 2 fingers. In her family, only Tercona and her mother Medea have these powers! Raised on a distant planet called Badacore 3, she escaped the evil clutches of her mother and along with her father and younger brother found a new home on Earth. Tercona now protects the people of Earth from villains. Deep down she harbors a fear her mother might someday find her.

SPACE Exhibitor Bios Part 5

Ryan Claytor:


Ryan Claytor is an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University where he teaches Comics Studio courses and spearheaded the development of the Comics Art and Graphic Novel interdisciplinary minor between the Art and English departments. In 2007, he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from San Diego State University with an emphasis in multimedia, researching autobiography in comics. Claytor’s achievements have included four S.P.A.C.E. (Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo) Prizes for his work in comics, a Cartoonist in Residence position at the Cartoon Art Museum, visiting lecturerships at the Dallas Museum of Art , The Center for Cartoon Studies, and The Savannah College of Art and Design, an internship with Marvel Comics, and judging the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailing Award.  In 2009, Claytor had a featured exhibition of his work in San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum and Claytor began teaching the first “Comics and Visual Narrative” course in Michigan State University‘s history.  He has also served as the Director of the Michigan State University Comics Forum, an event for scholars, creators and fans, since 2009, as well as Host and Producer of the MSU Comic Art and Graphic Novel Podcast since 2016.
As a creator, Claytor is most widely known for his self-published, autobiographical, comic book series And Then One Day. Although the series has undergone several format changes and incarnations since its inception in 2004, And Then One Day readers are consistently treated with Claytor’s thoughtful and entertaining approach to autobiographical comics immaculately packaged with a designer’s eye for production detail.




Brian Hagan:
Brian Hagan makes absurd, from-the-gut sucker-punch comics that he really believes in. 

Joey Haas:
Joey Haas is the writer and artist behind Beacon, Jolt, The ULTIMATE ALLIANCE, Rumpus the Duck and all of JH Comics other characters.Joey has been drawing comics for years and eventually this led to the release of his first self-published comic. With the release of Beacon #1 in 2014 the JH Comics universe has continued to expand and develop.

Headshrinker’s Press:



Based out of Cincinnati, OH Headshrinker’s Press is an independent label with a global footprint.
With a tribe of writers, artists and colorist from all over the United States and around the world they continue to strive to change the landscape of comics.

Luke Herr:




Luke works on a number of comic projects and podcasts as a writer and a producer. The number of comic projects is up in the air and the number of podcasts is 2.

Travis Horseman:



Travis was born in Springfield, Ohio, and discovered comic books at the age of six. Since then, the course of his life has been shaped by his love of comics, theater and classical history. In addition to being a writer, he has been an actor, a director, a produced playwright, and occasionally, all three at once. 
After writing the first draft of Amiculus: A Secret History as a ten-page play in college, he began adapting it as a comic in 2007, intending it to be a short 32-page project to test the waters for a longer series. Ten years and nearly 200 pages later, it has become an epic unto itself. 

Jessica Howard:
Jessica Howard (better known at "HVoice" online) is a freelance comic artist and writer. She is the creator of the webcomic and self published comic, "Love Metal" a heavy metal romance brought about through blackmail. Having grown up reading and being inspired by Japanese manga, her comic leans heavily toward that style, but her story is set in America.
Jessica has also been hired for work in novel to comic adaptations. She worked on "The World Next Door" written by Meagan Cook, and is now currently adapting "Curtain Call" a death metal novel by Nathan Squiers.

J.M. Hunter:


J.M. Hunter aka The Indy Hunter is one-half of Angry Artist's Studios is the publisher of BAM TOO! (Big Ass Mini-Comic) and brings along with him a background of fine art, comics publishing and currently design, J.M.'s work can best be described as energetic, visceral and risk taking. He currently resides with his family in Washington, IL by way of Southern California (SoCal), and has debuted the first primer for a larger format of comics and culture known as The Indy Gazelle featuring his creation, "Pirate Santa Claus: Agent of Constantinople" https://www.facebook.com/theartofhunter/ https://www.facebook.com/TheIndyHunter/ https://www.instagram.com/jm_indy_hunter/

Denel Jackson:
Denel is an aspiring fiction writer with a primary interest in fiction, representation and human relationships. Through their comics, Denel attempts to explore their narrative and artistic style.

Canada Keck:


Canada has been creating autobio comics since 2010, when she spent 24 hours at Packrat Comics as her daughter's chaperone and inadvertently wrote one. She has also edited several anthologies and curated comic art exhibits. She is a sociologist by training, a creative by nature, and a comic artist by accident.

Winifred Kehl:
I'm a science writer branching out into make sciencey comics.

Thunder Khan:
Thunder Khan's early influences include Calvin & Hobbes, which he grew up reading in the newspaper.  Other early influences include The Simpsons, Life in Hell, Mad Magazine, those cheesy how-to-draw books, books with creepy illustrations, and visits to the young adults section at the public library, where he found many graphic novels and comics. 
Thunder Khan also likes to share the titles of graphic novels that he has read and enjoyed, so that more people read them.  He is also very interested in graphic novels from all over the world, especially from the Middle East.

Jordan Kirian:
Hot Cakes Comics is a small press coming up on its third year. Titles include Short Stacks, Bearded Comic Book Enthusiast, Finding Jordan, and the web comic Egghead.

Brent Bowman:


Brent Bowman is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design with a degree in illustration. A lifelong comics fan, Brent has been drawing since he was old enough to pick up a pencil. His work has appeared in publications by Image Comics and Caliber Press, as well as the collectable card game “Age of Empires”. Most recently he contributed a story to the web comic anthology “ReDistricted”. (redistricrtedcomics.com).

His graphic novel, “Persia Blues” (with New York Times best selling author, Dara Naraghi) was selected as a “Great Graphic Novels for Teens” nominee in 2014 by the Young Adults Library Service Association (YALSA) and also was a 2014 “Amanda Bloomer Project, Recommended Feminist Literature for Birth though 18” nominee, from the American Library Association. Persia Blues Volume 2 was released in late 2015, and was the winner of the “2016 SPACE Prize” for Best Graphic Novel. Brent’s current project with writer Terry Eisele, “Far Tune”, has been released in preview form and has won the 2015 and 2016 SPACE Prize for best Minicomic.
Brent lives in Columbus Ohio with his wife and two boys.

Mike Eshelman:


Mike’s love of indie comics started in the 80s, when he was an assistant manager at Wizard of Comics in Columbus OH, and spent most of his day reading everything on the shelves.  Today, he pens tales of weirdness.  His first standalone horror title, “Camping”, a story about the boundaries of friendship pushed by the ultimate test, won the inaugural “Frightee Award” for best written fiction, followed by “Euphorium”, the first a comic experiment in non-collaboration.  His most recent horror title “ProLife” was nominated for “Best One Shot” and “Best Writer” for the 2015 Ghastly Award.  He also writes and draws mini comics; including the “6th St. Saloon” series, a collection of all his dumb moves from his barfly days and the mini “Cavemen Love Breasts”.  Upcoming titles include “Lap 666”, a homage to a dead musician, starring Satan (as himself) and a short story anthology.

Matt Feazell:




Matt Feazell comics and spot illustrations have appeared in Disney Adventures and Nickleodeon Magazine. His regular weekly series, "The Amazing Cynicalman" appears in the Hamtramck Review and Flint Comix & Entertainment newspapers as well as at www.cynicalman.com. He's currently promoting his new project, "Board of Superheros™"




Michael Fehskens:



Michael Fehskens is an artist local to Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design in 2012, studying Illustration. After finishing school, he started writing, illustrating, and publishing colorful comics and children’s picture books. Watercolor is his favorite medium, and his books are filled with lush detail, animals, and compelling, psychedelic themes.

Emma Feld:
Emma Feld is an illustrator from Columbus, Ohio. She loves to draw fauna, flora and fantastic beasts.


Josh Flowers:
Josh Flowers is a filmmaker from Northern Kentucky. He can't draw and found it is so much easier to point the camera at things. Luckily his friend Brian Hagan can draw and now Josh's stories can entertain and/or confuse people in a whole new medium. Success!



Joseph Freistuhler:
Joseph Freistuhler is a writer/illustrator from the Cleveland, Ohio area. He started making comics as a by-product of his mid-life crisis and has created the comics The Not So Golden Age and En Ténèbres. Joseph has also contributed to the comic anthology series, Ugli Studios Presents. When he’s not making comics, Joseph spends his days in an office chained to a cubicle.


Laura Gahris:
Laura who is better known as Fliff, has been selling their work at conventions off and on for the last 6 years. They desired to improve as an artist and learn more about comic art by returning to school as a Comics and Narrative Major at CCAD.

Jamie Gambell:
Writer and self-publisher of books The Hero Code, Black Wraith, Department O, Omnitarium.

Pierce Geary:
Kith and kin press prints zines for various projects including band merch and the art zine, Underwood.


Jack Gonzalez:
Jack Gonzalez is an Illustrator and writer. He has been making comics since 2012, creating Last Unicorn, Pins and Needles, and R/M. He is a US Air Force veteran who is passionate about The history of animation, Latin American history, and Mythologies. He lives in Chicago with his wife and dog.



Andrew Goldfarb:

Andrew Goldfarb hails from San Francisco and draws macabre funnybooks about gruesome globs, weird beards and freaky feet. He’s been producing the underground comic strip Ogner Stump’s One Thousand Sorrows since the 1990’s, and plans to do so until he finishes his thousandth cartoon at the age of one hundred years and then goes over Niagara Falls in a barrel. In the meantime, he also paints on black velvet and performs music as the one man surrealistic rock and roll band The Slow Poisoner. 

Charlie Haggard:


Charlie Haggard is an independent artist and illustrator born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia focusing on creating his own universe of original characters, comics, and stories.
He is the curator of a self-published comic zine, Bearqueft Comix: A surreal and humorous mix of original works by himself and budding artists all around the world, emulating the style of early alt-comix that have been influential to us all.
