SPACE Exhibitor Bios Part 8


John R. Phythyon, Jr.:
John R. Phythyon, Jr. wishes he were a superhero or a magician, but since he has not yet been bitten by a radioactive spider or received his letter from Hogwarts, he writes adventure stories instead. He is the author of the Wolf Dasher series of fantasy-thriller mashup novels, the epic fantasy series The Usurpers Saga, and several modern fairy tales. Prior to becoming a novelist, he was an award-winning game designer.
He lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, their children, a dog, and a cat. It is rarely quiet, but it's often entertaining. His current projects include world peace, desperately wishing for the Cincinnati Bengals to win a Super Bowl, and acquiring more cool socks.

Stu Rase:


Stu Rase teaches children, writes comic books, and loves goblins.

Sarah Allen Reed:
Sarah Allen Reed is a prolific cartoonist, author, zinester and musician hailing out of Saint Charles, Missouri. In the comix world, she is known as the author of Tabula Rosetta, Funhouse, and nearly the entire Blackwork catalog; in the music world, she takes the roles of bassist, drum programmer, and vocalist of extreme music act Cassandra Complex, vocalist and bassist of gothic rock act De Ira, and many other roles in other musical projects. She is the founder of The Blackwork Organization and the small record label Reclusive Recordings, as well as being the driving force behind many other projects. When she's not busy in the studio, she enjoys longboarding, working out, studying theology and the occult, and spending time with her found family and their cat, Barnabas.

Vince Revene & Eli Thompson:



Vince Revene writes and co-illustrates the fantastically independent comic Strange Letters to Albert.  When Vince is not busy pointing out discarded bandaids to his patient wife, he can be found trying find a way to sit so that his dog isn’t breathing directly in his face. Vince resides in Richmond, Virginia.
Eli Thompson co-illustrates the unbelievably independent comic Strange Letters to Albert.  Eli loves the Chicago Cubs, R. Crumb and horror movies from the 1980’s. Eli resides in Chesterfield​​, Virginia.
 

Allison Richmond-Leeth:


Allison Richmond-Leeth (Alla) is a recent graduate from CCAD and is ready to show off what she can do. As a comic artist and illustrator, she has a passion for wonderful storytelling, comics, and anything cute, girly, and magical. This year she has been working hard on the first chapter of a new comic she will premiere at SPACE. This is her first convention experience outside of her school, and wants to show the world all her hard work.


Carlos Rivera:

A wanna be artist, writer ,promoter and lover of many. I enjoy the fun of being around creative people. This has led me to create my own independent comic book show, the Youngstown Independent Creator Expo. Come check us out.

Jessica Robinson:
Jessica Robinson is a comics creator and freelance illustrator from Columbus, OH. She writes and illustrates the weekly webcomic "Roxy."
"Roxy," deals with social awkwardness, isolation and Millennial angst.  She is a twenty-something nervous wreck trying to lead a normal life in not-so-normal times.

Amanda Scharf:

Graphic Designer by day; a crazy Freelancer by night who calls Ohio her home.

Anna Lisa Schneider:



Anna Lisa is a decent human being that lives in Chicago.
She’s a graphic designer by trade, but occasionally teaches classes, participates in art shows and draws a webcomic, 
Inward Bound. She is very busy and that’s a good thing.
When Anna Lisa is not drawing or sleeping, she’s looking at pictures of dogs she’ll never be able to pet.

John M. Waller Sewell:
John M. Waller Sewell is the writer and publisher of Beautiful, Silly, & Terrible Things, an anthology series devoted to telling stories in multiple genres. Since its inception in 2014, though, the flagship title has become a true publishing house and now publishes series such as: The Black Gate; Johnny Bats, Vampire Dick; and Trope. John has also been published by Incubator Press in their Never Look Back series.

Lisa Sterle:
Lisa Sterle is a Columbus artist with projects spanning from comic books to t-shirt design to pop-culture-fueled illustration. Her work is often bright, feminine, and occasionally tinged with horror— marrying her two favorite themes: the beautiful and the grotesque. She is currently working on a monthly serial comic called Long Lost, due out in fall 2017.

Ted Sikora:
Ted Sikora is the creator, co-writer, colorist and letterer of the series Apama - The Undiscovered Animal. Apama tells the story of Cleveland’s own resident superhero in which a Hungarian ice cream truck driver discovers the spirit force of the most savage creature mankind has never known.
